This is the first half of my graphics a level project and the brief was about haikus. It focuses on human interaction with the earth.
This top title poster is about mankind moving from a primitive hunter gatherer species to a modern civilisation. I wanted to convey how we rely so little on our survival instincts for actually staying alive in our cushy 1st world lives and have bypassed the survival system.
The Japanese bit says '2019 forget it' meaning that the date means nothing to anyone but our species and we are very self centered as a race.
This one ^ is about human civilisations being weak and fragile. I made a lot of plant metaphors in this series and it nicely links into the themes in the poetry. I also took much inspiration from the power and conflict poetry that I studied at GCSE for example the poems Ozymandias by Percy Bysshe Shelley and Tissue by Imtiaz Dharker which both represent power as temporary.
Please excuse my hideously cut house plant.
This one is about how nature takes back over once we are gone and eventually there is no evidence of our existence.

I do hope you enjoyed. ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°)
