Rethinking ManUtd.com

I remember how impressed I was in mid 2000s when I saw the newly revamped ManUtd.com. How it stood out from other football club websites around.

Fast forward to 2013, the same design is still here, and as a web enthusiast and lifelong fan, I think some design adjustments are in order for one of the biggest football clubs in the world.

OBJECTIVE:

Take the current Manchester United website's content and apply to a new, more current and user friendly design without changing much of the experience whilst still providing a fresh take of the website.
The Home Page

What needs to be kept in mind is the Manchester United website is source of information for anything related to Man Utd, and that includes match reports, interviews, even non-football club activities. This means the site gets updated with a lot of news daily.

The design accommodates this with the main stories highlighted in the slideshow, and as the page goes further down, the less 'important' the stories are.
The Match Report Page

A fresh take of the page includes goalscorers, slideshow gallery, fixture details, team line up, and the report itself.
The Club Page

United's rich backstory stretches from its history that shaped the club, trophy collections, the famous Old Trafford stadium, and all the way to the nitty gritty of corporate details.
Players Page

A refreshed look of players page, highlighting player summary and stats as the focus of the page, with their story to follow.
