I was lucky enough to travel, once again, to Italy and visit Rome last week. I don't know why, but everytime I visit this beautiful city it feels like coming home. Maybe I was Roman in another lifetime :-) Rome has a great attraction for me. But at a certain point you threw enough coins in the Trevi Fountain and marvelled more than once at the Colloseum. So it's time to take a trip across the Tiber river to Trastevere. A charming medieval neighbourhood with a fiery temperament. A stroll trough this area will take you to the hidden corners of Rome, the real Rome if you ask me, away from mass tourism. Quiet in the morning, heady at night. Cobblestoned side streets lined with crumbling buildings with faded paintwork. Grafitti covers the walls and shutters of houses and closed bars. Here is a first impression of this pretty cool neighbourhood. More to come... Enjoy!

I can see myself sitting here with an Aperol Spritz.... oh wait a second, I was :-) :-)
