The history of graphic design class at Fort Hays State University holds a yearly poster exhibition/contest about the American Democracy Project. The class creates posters dealing with a wide range of political issues. The subject matter is very open. Posters range from involvement in your community to national concerns. The posters also must fit into certain design styles such as Dada, New York School, Art Nouveau, conceptual image, international type, Avant-garde, digital revolution, pictorial modernism, Russian constructivism, and vernacular.
