We had this proactive idea off the cuff. But when a shoot got cancelled at the last minute and there was a film crew waiting around with nothing to do, we called friends and asked for favours. The concert cellist and (highly illegal) rooftop location didn't cost a cent. We used a skateboard for the tracking shot. And we organised and filmed it all within a day.
