Vehicle WRAP: Moving Canvas Project

Moving Canvas Project
. . . A bus wrap creation and digital enhancement of an award winning artwork to cover a community bus.

The project was initiated by an art competition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander school students of the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia, and based around the theme of ‘journey’. Won by Trai Dungay, the major prize included an artwork printed on a local bus as a bus wrap.

This is where I came in, creating the bus wrap from Trai's artwork, re-composed, enhanced digitally and wrapped around a community transport bus. The scan of his painting had to be very large  . . . and production of enormous digital files for print, meeting the jigsaw pieces with matching seams, proved to be a challenge. Very worth it, though, the result was appreciated all round . . .

The project was run by MidCoast Communities, funded by the NSW Department of Transport and printed with expertise by Fast Signs and Plastics, Coffs Harbour.
