This project was to create a series of 50+ illustrations in the company style covering one-off scenes, moments or objects for various needs for VIPkid online and offline.

VIPkid is an online learning platform where Chinese students learn English from American teachers in one-on-one classes. As an on demand service teachers and students login and are either matched through availability or can be specifically booked in advance. VIPkid does all the behind the scenes logistics including curriculum and payroll.
Each icon started as a series of sketches.
One of the first icons I created was the hardest, The Great Wall of China. Although the walls are straight when seen up close they straddle hills so actually curve a lot from a distance.
As well as one off scenes, moments or objects I also created a range of teacher and student personas.
As well as the main yellow/orange/red palette the illustrations had to work in the brands green, red and blue palettes.
...and this project also won an international design award.
