I had the pleasure of working with Nespresso in 2018. The brief was to develop a range of illustrations that would be available to markets for the e-mail announcements of boutique closings, openings, relocations & refurbishments as well as two illustrations for the instalments of N-Point machines & Nano Boutiques.
Because these illustrations were to be available for all markets the cityscape and the shopping centre backgrounds had to be generic in style. The main focus was to be on the front layer which holds either the generic boutique, the N-Point or the Nano Boutique. Silhouette characters would be used to depict one of the four themes: closing, opening, relocation or refurbishment.
I also spent some time developing other drafts that were not approved. I explored other colour schemes & layouts below that I thought were worth showing. There was a bit more exploration into certain times of the day and different lighting on rooftops & buildings. The Illustrations were never approved as the colour-schemes didn't fall in line with the Nespresso branding. The original chosen colours were a better fit and the goal was to keep everything as consistent as possible.
