Gravità Zero - Missione Spazio
The graphic, publishing project “Zero Gravity – Space Mission” was born at the request of a professional, consultant and inspector within the aerospace ambit. The author’s aim was to give professional shape to his first work, a presentation of scientific arguments with a popular style.
After focusing briefly on the Earth and the Solar System, the author’s work dwells on the history of space exploration, from its beginnings until the present day. It introduces future goals and sheds light, not only on the challenges and difficulties that must be faced over coming decades, but also on the opportunities and prospects – social, economic and technological – that will be generated with the shifting of the man’s frontier from Earth to Space.
The work’s structure, subdivided into chapters introduced by the author’s short personal reflections, foresees a wide use of colour images, explanatory and complementary to the textual part. In order to render the work’s reading and consultation easier it was therefore decided to insert the figures contextually, using white coated paper for the entire volume.
The font used for the text body is Times New Roman, classic and well balanced, while the titles see the choice to unite the panache of Plantagenet Cherokee (the lines of which are not dissimilar to those of the body of the text) with the contemporary, sleek style of Montserrat.
The 13 x 20 cm vertical format ensures that the work remains pocket-sized and manageable, without sacrificing image quality, which always remains perfectly legible.
