"Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee."
- Reverend Augustus Toplady (1763)
This is one of my early attempts to paint with ink, and though I know it will be a while before I gain more confidence with ink painting, I enjoyed getting to really push myself and experiment more with my work.

This piece is my twist on older Rock of Ages works, which generally represent that having faith (in whatever way that be) will keep you safe through rough times. I started this piece before even knowing the difficult week I had in front of me. The irony is real. Life is a ride. Progress isn't linear. And even when things feel so defeating, we need to place hope in the universe that things will be ok.
