Newseum | Digital Disruption + A Deadly Attack

Project
Christine Lefebvre Design was tasked with redesigning a 30-foot long case within the Newseum's News History gallery. This case, The Digital Disruption of News, explores how the news industry has been transformed by the internet and digital innovation. Case graphics fit within the existing design of the News History gallery (originally designed by Ralph Applebaum Associates), albeit with its own "digital" feel. The layered design used inset, applied, and hanging graphics, and incorporated many stories and artifacts, for a richly textured presentation.

Project
Alongside The Digital Disruption of News, CLD designed a simple exhibition about the newsroom shooting at the Capital Gazette in Annapolis, MD. The exhibition layout and graphics were kept simple and somber. The blue "ribbons" on the graphics were a subtle reference to the ribbons tied around newspaper delivery boxes throughout the city, in remembrance of the victims of the terrorist attack.
