Background- Accel‑Heal is a medical device clinically proven to promote and stimulate healing in leg ulcers through the use of electroceutical energy. They set us the challenge of creating a method of securing their device comfortably to the user. A complex and demanding task, which required a user centred approach.

Accel-Heal set the challenge of creating a method of securing their device comfortably to the user. The current method is simply held in place by a compression bandage which can be uncomfortable, difficult to apply, as well as restricting.
The solution comes in the form of an adhesive pouch that can be applied to the user. The lack of compression required doesn't put pressure on the wound, whilst its compact and unobtrusive dimensions allows the device to be concealed under clothes.
The Silicone Adhesive used for the backing allows for the device to be comfortably readjusted throughout the day, whilst also being breathable
