The project is written in the context of the green axis that runs along the river from the mouth to the end of Cassarate river and adds a piece to an existing system of public spaces.
It integrates the big stair through a single intervention for the entire lot which takes place in the choice of a large roof, and through a selective intervention in response to the different and random shapes of the city which is realized in a single body with the roof around a central void that surrounds.
In addition to a reading of existing assets, resulting in the alignment
of the roof to the most relevant topographic references and the underlying bodies of the surrounding urban fabric, we introduce a diagonal path that connects the two campuses. The project opts for an idea of unity where is the public space to determine the character of the entire campus. University and city come together in common areas for the public rooted in the land, while the area for study and intellectual work is raised from the ground.
