P R O T E C T   Y A   N E C K

This project was one between others as part of an exhibition I had along with other two amazing colleagues under the topic “Ronin”. A rōnin (浪人, “drifter” or “wanderer”) was a samurai without a lord or master during the feudal period (1185–1868) of Japan. A samurai became masterless from the death or fall of his master, or after the loss of his master’s favor or privilege.
In this image the Ronin is trying to find his path regardless the inconveniences and difficult situations he has to face.
This was a metaphor of the artists: even if society tells them how to live their lives, the artists decided to follow their own path. As the title says it, it is a tribute to the album from the music band Wu-Tang clan(that’s why he has the bee on his chest).
Presented by BOOST.
PS. I rarely make paintings and I really don't consider myself an "artist", but I like to try it sometimes when I have the chance, even if I feel my skills aren't still very good.
