This project aims at conceptualizing a new Emergency Medical Dispatch Software system for an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provider like the 108 EMS services running in Bangalore. \In the current scenario, the ratio of ambulances to number of people they cater to in the city is alarming. With the population explosion, unless the infrastructure is scaled up, increasing efficiency of the system will become extremely difficult. Even infrastructure can contribute only to a limited extent in handling the innumerable requests received per day. Hence the entire load of 'efficiency' will fall on the shoulders of the Call Operators - to maximize the number of requests taken, and Dispatch Officers - for efficient route and vehicle management.
The new proposed system has been designed taking into consideration the increase in cognitive load that the Call Operator or Dispatch Officer will have to face in the near future with the rate at which the population is proposed to increase.
