Lesotho Landscapes 2019

LESOTHO LANDSCAPES 2019
A series of small landscapes painted on a trip to the highlands
of Lesotho in Southern Africa.

(Oil on canvas, framed size 20 x 20cm.)

The air is thin, the people friendly, the wood and dung smoke fires pungent.
There is the sound of sheep bells, the laughter of children and the harsh call of donkeys. An overwhelming sense of peace floats down as the car is parked and locked.  Calm at not being in the city and using only your feet or bicycle as transportation.

It is a place of pure rest, rapid recharge, lots of exercise, steep hills,
high villages and fresh air.

This is the place where these paintings came from.
