CPCC's Student Life Coordinator asked us to create a logo/graphic that could be used for multiple promotional materials including a t-shirt, poster and email graphic. We were also challenged to come up with another name for the event. My concept focused on balancing and uniting the different levels of health. I chose the phrase to “Find Your Balance” in order to convey a more inviting approach and to kind of create a goal that could stay with students long after they attend the event.

I picked the lotus flower for it’s ability to balance on water. Each petal represents a area of healthy living. The petals’ colors were inspired by the body’s chakras and I used white for the flower to symbolize their unity. For my shirt design, I decided to keep the graphic a neutral white and grey to make production easier while using the shirt color choices to set a calming tone.

For this project, we were asked to create a graphic for the 2019 Charlotte CROP Hunger Walk t-shirts and possibly other promotional materials. The client wanted us to help them attract younger people without dismissing their current participants so I based my concept on the community coming together. Using Illustrator, I drew a group of hands holding on to each other with the CROP walk logo in the center. I created the t-shirt mock-up in Photoshop.
