Vitra Design Museum / Frank Gehry

Vitra Design Museum
Architect: Frank O. Gehry

The Vitra Design Museum is Frank Gehry's first building in Europe, completed in 1989. From classical geometric basic forms he created a dynamic architectural sculpture; the individual elements seem to be fragmented and seem to be in motion. This aesthetic also influenced the emergence of "deconstructivism".
