Just 20 minutes above Amsterdam lies a beauty little windmill village called the Zaanse Schans. It's true beauty can be found on the early mornings when the first light tops over the horizon. During the day this village is a tourist hot spot and it's literally packed with people. But when the tourists are gone, it's like walking in a fairytale. Little lambs, birds, swans, cats, suddenly everything turns quiet and those are the only sounds that can be heard. I can never get enough of this place and its magical atmosphere during those early spring mornings.
