When looking to furnish our new open floor plan office, we found that a number of storage solutions designed to hang from walls were exorbitantly expensive for the amount of storage provided. After purchasing a few sample units, I decided that we would instead purchase a few panels of MDF for the same cost as a handful of competing metal units.

With a single panel of MDF, we were able to create 10 shelves which measured 46"x14" which dramatically increased our available storage space. Simply ensuring that we used all available vertical space allowed us to keep spare parts, resources, books, and stock off the floor and out of high traffic areas.
