“My Type Book” includes five sections

The first explains Tautology.
This is an unnecessary repetition of meaning, using different words that effectively say the same thing twice. It is often regarded as a fault of style and was defined by Fowler as “saying the same thing twice.”

Syntax is explained as attempting to define formal language through a set of grammatical rules.

The third section describes Simulacrum, a term that means the duplication, mimicry, and recreation of the reality.

The metaphor is discussed in the fourth section specifically how metaphors in language are beautiful art. The final section provides a summary and a definition for type.

The five chapters in this book visually represent the principles of typography. Each chapter provides at least one work of art that represents the corresponding typographic technique as well as other imagery and text that presents a broad look at typography.
