Step 1. User Research and Market Research
Japan's recruitment industry is competitive, and the engineers are in high demand. Instead of using favorite job-hunting tools like LinkedIn and Indeed, most engineering students in Japan have a better chance to get a job by using other tool or connections. After I interviewed hiring managers at many companies and researched the pain points of their hiring process, I have come up with several documents and concussions below:
1. Students have a lack of confident or do not have a clear career goal
2. One medium size company has over 1000 - 3000 applications every year for 15 new graduate positions; the competition is cruel.
3. Too many platforms, too much time invested in filling out forms but the acceptance rate for a job offer from a job hunting platform is only 0.7% per position.
4. The average recruiting period for new grads in Japan is three months, and how can we help and shorten this time and improve the satisfaction for both job seekers and companies?
Step 2. User interviews, Persona making and User Story
Step 3: More Group discussions and Making Information Architecture
Step 4: Wireframes and First round user testing
Step 5: Real Designs and Prototype
Step 6: Second Round Solution Interviews and Optimizing the Current Design
