DESIGN PROBLEM STATEMENT:
Origami is one of eastern traditional paper engineering skill. Since I was a kid, I've learned how to do several origami animals. A lot of people have the same problems for origami. For instance, even they have knew how to do it, but they always forgot several steps next time most of time, or after finishing, they don't know where they can put them on. So, the origami animals must be destroyed soon. Animals are separated and difficult to put in order.

PROJECT GOALS:
Teaching people how to do simple origami animals and its package jacket is going to be a holder for those origami animals in order to become a sustainable design. Interactive design could be a bridge between audience and sustainability. Interactive origami kit is going
to prove the audiences into becoming active participants. Paper, folding steps and the package jacket can not exit without each other.

DESIGN SOLUTIONS:
The kit is to show the instruction lines on how to folding origami animals step by step on one piece of paper itself and the package jacket is the holder; therefore, everything will not become an unnecessary existence.

Holder is for displaying the origami animals and reducing the chance that they will be broken or disappear easily. Thus, whole interactive origami kit is going to become a new ornament.
Packaging represents the product while capturing the attention of consumers.
It is not only the connection between designers and consumers but also a balance between the sustainability and the appearance of the product.
After gaining a better understanding of trend research, interactive design can fulfill the sustainability of origami packaging design. It will be a 7” x 7” x 1” square box.
