Oh man, we all wanna be NASA engineers and astronauts right? Well this project got us close enough...

The NASA engineer is a 30sec teaser film for the iconic OMEGA Speedmaster watch - aka the "Moonwatch". It left it's mark in history when it was first flight-qualified by NASA for all manned space missions and travelled on the arms of the first humans to set foot on the moon.

We had access to a million dollar set when we shot on location at Kennedy Space Center in Orlando, Fl. There are no special effects or set building and we made use of the original firing room control desks, a vintage Speedmaster loaned by the OMEGA museum and some classic styling. All the props seen in this edit are original heritage or museum items, including the Miami Herald newspaper which was from 1969.
All photos were shot by local filmmaker and photographer, Erik Curtis. In keeping with the times, we went for a classic black and white film look, to give it a retro feel and classy finish and then a vintage colour grade for the still images released over instagram.

Thanks to Alpha team Hungry Man Productions, Erik Curtis and Brett McManus for making this work out so well.
