Adobe XD : Website/App Duo Project
The Mind Candy XD project was a school assignment taken over the course of my Junior semester at IUPUI's Computer Graphics Technology Program. The focus of the project was to study website design behaviors, create documentation worthy of our own website, and make a functional prototype of said site, using Adobe XD.
We were split up into several teams, and my team decided to create a Website/App duo based around a creative streaming service, similar to the likes of D-Live, Twitch, and Youtube, among others. The twist was that our organization, Mind Candy, would run their merch shop solely through the mobile phone App, while mobile web and Desktop Web handled other functions, such as content uploads, audience participation, and more.
Part of the project was to identify the differences between stakeholder ideas, goals and needs and those of the audience of the website/app. The stakeholders, mostly streamers, but also merch creators, and the organization itself, wants to sell merch and attract viewers to gain ad revenue (and merch revenue). The audience wants to learn, be entertained, and support their favorite creators.
Over the course of the semester, we learned about Adobe's rapid prototyping software, XD, and the many amazing things it could do to speed along our production schedule for the prototypes, from animations, to interactivity, it was all possible thanks to XD.
See my documentation below, as well as a link to a functioning prototype of the site, should you like to try it out for yourself! Enjoy.
