In the 20th century the architects competing in speed have aspired to find out the new forms for their buildings. The new construction technologies have favored the complication of the form; the sky-scrappers became more and more unusual. The last tendencies have leaded the architects to the imitation of the natural forms. There appeared the sky-scrappers imitating the forms of the animals or plants. But none of the architects can compete with the nature itself in unpredictability of the forms.
All the newest efforts of the engineers in creation of the super ecological and energy-efficient sky-scrappers will lead to the time when the most obvious thing will be creating of houses out of live material. As far as even the most technological material will be at a disadvantage in comparison with the biological material by all the parameters.
The sky-scrappers evolution from the reinforced concrete construction will move into the live organism which lives together with the people who inhabit it. In the near future we offer the joint experimental work of the architects and genetic engineers on the selection of the new kind of the plant-sky-scrapper. The result of such experiments may be the selection of the new kind of gigantic plants capable to serve mankind as buildings.
The new sky-scrapper is the genetically modified plant-giant. Probably it will become the new kind of science, art and new architecture.
It will be the twining sky-scrapper with porous structure where people will be able to develop their houses. The live body of the sky-scrapper will process the wastes of human vital activities and with this nutrition will assure its growth energy. The using of the wastes of the human vital activities as the fertilizer for the plant ensures the ecological compatibility of the building functioning. Such a sky-scrapper will be settled down as it grows. The constant regeneration of the sky-scrapper body will ensure the super stability and durability. The sky-scrapper new form does not imitate the natural forms but it is the nature child itself. There is no necessity to build the sky-scrappers, they grow themselves. The main construction material for it will be the cities’ wastes.
The principal advantage of such an object in the urban environment will be the atmosphere purification. Absorbing the carbon dioxide and emitting the oxygen they will be the new lungs of the city.
The sky-scrapper is located on the river and has a strong root system – a foundation. Even the most powerful earthquake will shake it slightly. The super strong trunk of the sky-scrapper will naturally amortize the earth vibrations. The river will provide the sky-scrapper and its inhabitants with the pure fresh water.
The electrical car personal capsules reminding the dewdrops will move on the sky-scrapper surface. These capsules will unite the functions of the individual transport and the part of the living space. Having the developed systems of branches which twists the city the sky-scrapper surface will become the alternative transport system replacing the city roads and bridges. The most part of the city inhabitants will use the electrical transport moving by the sky-scrapper branches. Such a transport will guarantee the getting of the sky-scrapper inhabitants into their flats, as well as it will ensure the transit communication between the different districts of the city.
The future experiments of the architects with the genetic engineering will be one of the most outstanding events in the 21st century. Constantly regenerating this sky-scrapper will be the reliable dwelling for its inhabitants for many centuries.
