I use photoshop I paint an image you would otherwise never see. I love being able to take a photograph and then enhance digitally, whether it be creating a background, removing acne or changing colors. Below I show a few different techniques that I have learned over the year in various images.
Dog models are the best models but they also don't always coperate. I had to select the dog and move him over to the middle of fthe image and adjust his reflection. I fixed the catch light in his eye. i darkened down the background to make him the focal point.
For this image I cleaned up a few blemishes and distraction.Ii masked out the makeup and reflection and enhanced the background. I took a lighter color from the original image and faded it across the background to make it seamless.
I love painting in real life and digitally. I enjoy finding new ways to put those two types of art together. For this image I manipulated the scene using a lot of filters and messing with opacity. I kept the subject, me, in the foreground and i would continue to mask it out so it would not be covered and could be the main focus. I corrected color and made it match through out the image. I love creating what you can't or wouldn't otherwise see.
Operation take out the chain. There is this Beautiful ceiling in the Chicago Cultural Center. I lied down in the center of the room shot up and captured it beauty strait on. Near perfect I had the chain from the light in my shot so I cloned it away. Now it is symmetrical and can enjoy without a distraction.
A Beautiful bridge and location right in my backyard of Iowa but I don't have luxurious ocean water i have the George Wyth. brown water. one thing I love to do when taking any photo that features the George Wyth river is to select it all and enhance the blue not to much to make it look like I am on an island but enough to pretend it was not the color of dirt.
What i love most about Photoshop is photo manipulation and being able to create something you can't capture. For this image of my mom I took the skyline of Chicago and duplicated it, flipped it and lined it up to create a 'reflection'. The image of my mom got revamped with more flowers. Sandwiched both layers on top of one another and played with the opacity creating a collage and a fun memory of a trip to Chicago with my mom.
For this image I didn't have to do much because this beauty is already perfect. I fluffed her hair a little by using the liquefy tool. I used the healing brush to hide any blemishes. I enhanced her eyes and evened out her skin tone.
A beautiful piece of artwork on a building in Sloan Iowa. The painting wasn't photo shopped onto the building but the surroundings were less than ideal. I cleaned up the fence, took out the sign, power line, camera and antennas. I made the grass greener. I brought down the highlight and cranked up the shadow to bring down the sky and bring out the house more. I selected the tree branch on the left side and brought it in more so it fit in the fame better and help frame the image.
I created a new background for this image using the blue from the Blue Moon label. I took a honey comb pattern and repeated it across the back. I extracted the bottle from its image and created a shadow for the bottle to sit on. I cloned out any blemished or distractions. I also lightened the overall image.

In the original image the glitter became discolored from the reflection of the bottle so I selected the discolored section and brought down the saturation and then brought up the overall brightness. simple clean up to make the overall image look better.
The skull is almost perfect. The reflection from the label shined though and i used the clone stamp and healing brush to remove the tiny black spots. I then dodged the highlight on the reflection to prevent distraction. Color and shine were all straight out of camera.
