This assignment was to create a paper doll from scratch with three different outfits for it to wear.

My initial concept was just to create a plain, female paper doll like I had had when I was younger. The ideas for the clothing came from pieces I had in my closet and the color schemes came from my head.

I struggled very hard with making this paper doll and had to try a lot of different methods to put the ideas I had in my head to screen. I used the pen tool the create the arms and legs and then simply copy and pasted them and flipped them to have doubles of each. Then I made the head, neck, face and hair using the shapes tool. I made the torso using the pen tool yet again. The clothing I made a second layer for and simply painted my designs over the character I had already built.

From this project I learned a lot. It was the most I have worked with the pen tool by far and even though I struggled to use it, I know that I am much better than I used to be with it and have more of an understanding now. I was the best at using the paintbrush to make the clothes because I feel like it required the least amount of technical skill and I was able to create the ideas I had in my head easily.
