Exploring garment silhouettes and patterns through illustrations

This is a project I created for myself to explore different aspects in garment illustrations. The way a certain fabric falls or drapes around the human body or how interesting folds and volume occur when the wearer interacts with the garment.

When I started off , I was honestly looking to make pretty illustrations because fashion photoshoots tend to have that kind of effect on you, to recreate a similar visual and live up to it. But I observed that as I spent time on each garment (inspired from various designers ) I started to focus on the little details instead and in this process the end result was eventually a better visual than I even imagined when I started.

Each illustration focuses on a different detail that I found interesting in that particular garment. It could be the fabric texture , the pose, the colours, folds etc.

Important Note : All the illustrations were recreations of images by the respective brands and were not used for any kind of commercial intent.
