The small, start-up artisan chocolate company 'Cocoloco' is looking for a number of talented graphic designers and illustrators to style their first packaging range, to coincide with the launch of their delicious 'bean to bar' product range. They are looking for the designs to be striking, modern and inspired by the countries that the cocoa originates from (this up to you to include in the design and can help inspire the actual illustrations you create).

My place of choice was Italy, which I used the different flavours inspired by the famous cities of the country.

In this project I explored more within the shadowing of Photoshop and what textures it can help achieve, I went for the embossed/pressed style wrapping for the bar, as if you'd feel the bumps in packaging if you was to run your finger over it.
I felt that keeping the logo a pure white, embossed also, creates a more sophisticated approach to the whole style. I feel this white on white contrast really sells that it doesn't need to stand out, the packaging and chocolate would speak for itself.
