CHRISTINE DE PIZAN, WALL IN TURIN FOR LAVAZZA-TOWARD 2030 [2018]
Wall in Turin, made for #toward2030, the City of Turin and Lavazza.
“TOward 2030. What Are You Doing?” is a project conceived by the City of Turin and Lavazza whose aim is to promote the United Nations Global Goals through the works of 17 artists that interpret the 17 Global Goals combining art and sustainability.
For the realization of the Goal 5 (Gender Equality) I thought of the figure of Christine de Pizan, born in 1364, the first professional female writer and considered the first feminist in history. This work is a tribute to her: a strong, intelligent and courageous woman as the protagonists she speaks in “The city of Ladies”.
The Goal 5 (Gender Equality), represented here, aims to achieve gender equality and empowerment (greater strength, self-esteem and awareness) for all women.
