Client: Student Thesis Project

Tools: Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, Photoshop and Indesign

Challenge: Anyone in Kansas City can attest to the strong sense of pride in living here. In recent years, several areas have been revitalized, though due to its location below the bluffs, the West Bottoms have often remained forgotten to time. With this project the challenge was to remind people of the cornerstone of our city, and to bring a new sense of life back to a  beautifully old area of town. 

Role: Following a full research study of the two-story Twelfth Street Viaduct Bridge and learning about how the West Bottoms have connected to the city on the bluffs since they were established, my aim was to blend the rich history of this district with a new, modern brand that would help revitalize the area. This included creation of a logo and correlating swag, including shirts, pins, posters, stickers, and postcards. In addition, social media, murals, a website, and OOH signage all were built to further bring awareness back to the Bottoms.
