Mo's World character art

this project is a particular favorite of mine. it spans more than a decade in pre-production, on and off, hitting unfortunate brick walls on a regular basis. it still struggles to see the light, which is a shame, 'cause it will make a great animated series one day.
it is also the second job I ever scored in visual design, and I keep getting calls for it every now and again. you can imagine how fond I am of it and its creator, one of the sweetest ladies I ever met.
before I start weeping, here are the exact same characters from above, but bigger, so that you can enjoy them in their oversaturated glory.
following is an older version (2012, I believe) of the genie character; it was later discarded since deemed too scary for kids.
since we're on the subject, I have a bone to pick with oversensitive producers. as a kid I used to really like Buronson's and Hara's Fist of the North Star, or Hokuto no Ken, in which the titular character, episode after episode, would poke his opponents to death while yelling like a lunatic, all before coffee.
did it bother me or the other kids in the least?
scary-looking animated characters don't turn kids into unbalanced adults, according to my cat.
Here are some cover variants from back in the day for I don't remember what.
Probably the promotional short comic I can't share for sound contractual deterrents.
