As creative director and copywriter, I led the development of a global Novo Nordisk website for patients with diabetes while collaborating with a leading psychiatrist from Harvard Medical School’s Joslin Diabetes Center on content strategy.
The Change Engager was a behavior modification tool meant to connect patients suffering from emotional barriers and knowledge gaps with the information and resources they needed to take charge of their diabetes health. With direction from renowned diabetes behavioral experts, nurses, and patient advocates — and using Novo Nordisk's DAWN Study as a scientific basis — I addressed the client's needs by rebranding the tool and developing a simple user interface that could be localized and increased in scale.
Working closely with Dr. Bill Polonsky, we worked together to develop this behavioral intervention tool for patients with emotional and knowledge-based barriers to using insulin and other injectable medicines in the treatment of diabetes. Dr. Polonsky provided the research, content basis, and construct, while I developed the content tone, wrote the video scripts, and oversaw the videos developed by our friends at Clearly Health.
