This work was inspired by Vietnam's Mythical Bird: Chim Lạc
"Chim Lạc" is a legendary bird in Vietnamese folklore. No one really knows if it is a imaginary bird or based on a real species (crane, heron, stork...). Its images appeared in many ancient patterns such as Bronze drums in Đông Sơn civilization. I created my own version of "Chim Lạc". I prefer to make it similar to a heron instead of a crane, mostly because of the shape of its neck and feather in the back of its head. So in English you can call it "Vietnamese Legendary Heron"
