Low key is where the background is dark almost completely blacked out and there is one main key light to leave a highlight on the subject. For my low key portrait, I wanted to express a dark old Hollywood glam style with the bold, vintage fashion and makeup on the model. I also liked how low key was based on one main key light much like George Horrell's photos from the 1930s.
