PERCEPTION
Perception is a music visualiser that is trying to explore the connection between music and shapes by using repetitive patterns inspired by kaleidoscope.
IDEA OF PERCEPTION
This project is trying to build relationship between music and shapes, however, different people will have different perception towards the same music. Therefore the title, “Perception”. To bring out this theme, patterns are designed with the idea “how humans form their own perception” in mind. The result as below:
Each layer of patterns represent eyes;
Outer layer's pattern is trying to bring out the impression of Mandala using octagons to represent mind;
Kaleidoscope effect represent complexity of human mind process;
Three layers of patterns represent layers of human thoughts.
