FORKAST is an idea that was branded/created to be showcased at the Graphic Design Senior Show (University of Wisconsin-Stout, Spring 2013). The shows theme: Emotive design, allowed myself to focus on the science behind design: how can design become an idea that triggers emotion? How can this idea, these emotions, make a change?
FORKAST allowes humans the satisfaction of helping the environment by being sustainable - all while indulging in some tasty comfort foods. The menus are entirely based on what foods humans crave in very weather-specific conditions. By using this approach, FORKAST prevents food from being wasted under their roof. This approach also works to inform and educate others about the food waste epidemic and how important it is to help make a positive impact.
