My Silent Land - Photobook

My Silent Land
Reminisce
Art is a memory.

In this era, new things constantly replace old ones in a fast way. Most of the people in this generation yearn for a
high-quality life, and the rustic places in the countryside are gradually forgotten by people.
Although those places are rural, it was full of warmth. Thinking back to the peaceful kampong, life is so enjoyable.
But these places, little by little, slowly disappeared in this generation. The only thing left is the memories.

Background:

This photo book is taken at kampong that located in JB, Malaysia. It was my grandparent's house and I lived there for a period before. Kampong for me is meaningful and it used to be a prosperous place but now are gradually forgotten by people. Most of the young generations are moving to the city for a better quality lifestyle.

So in this photo book, I will like to capture down those beautiful sceneries in kampong that had been forgotten and slowly disappeared in this generation.

"Remember me when I am gone, far away to my silent land"
"Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory"
