Impressions is the yearly cultural evening for post graduate students at IIT Kanpur. The theme for this year's event was 'colors'. The splatter of coor in the logo was selected by dropping drops of colors on to paper and selecting the most appropriate shape for the logo. 

 

Impressions stands for bringing out the creative spirit within each of us, no matter how boring or bookish our lives are.

Many such patterns were created on paper before selecting the final shape.
