Carol Gallacher Designer for HiSO 25th Anniversary Collection
For a quarter of a century, I have been lucky enough to be able to create coats out of the most luxurious materials on the earth. Out of all the fur, fabric, leathers and hides, there is nothing more beautiful than shearling. In all the tanning techniques and raw materials used to create luxury garments, nothing can compare to the soft velvety wools, and the suppleness of suede finished lamb shearling or the luxurious fur of a toscana lambskin.
To work with HiSO is to be given a palette to freely create with. The inspiration for my collections stems from the intrinsic nature of the hides, my customers, and the shapes and trends prevalent in the world. In my travels, I study in detail the texture and colour balance, technology, structure, and construction. I take all I have seen and infuse the materials and supplements with my own sensitivity to proportion and design.
Adding to the success of the Women's and Men's Shearlings, the collections have grown to include HiSO kids, luxury shearling coats for children, and a full collection of Men's and Women's reversible leather garments.
