In the early storyboard developed for the title sequence "The Girl in the Spider's Web", we explored different looks for the key elements. In the opening scene, Lisbeth was represented as a "wasp" that submerged itself into the cyber jungle. The white "cocoon" was introduced as a symbol of the innocent age of the two sisters, in contrast to the overall inky tone. We also explored mirroring compositions for the sisters with a contrasting course of life. After the design exploration, we unified the look based on a storyline focusing on Lisbeth. The initial design was mainly created with Cinema 4D.
