Rod Serling’s The Twilight Zone Poster series

With its inimitable brand of disturbing fantasy and nightmarish science fiction, Rod Serling’s The Twilight Zone puts its characters into situations that allow the human psyche to be probed in ways conventional drama cannot.  Encapsulated in Serling’s narration, the parables and plot twists of The Twilight Zone touch on everything from race, to Cold War anxieties, to “what if” flights of fancy.  Serling saw drama as a political act and his commitment to social justice often extended to his activities off the page.

As a senior design student, I wanted to take my experience in design, and passion for illustration and apply it to something that I love and care about.  I have grown up watching The Twilight Zone and continually feel inspired artistically by the thought provoking lessons, beautifully written script, and unique style of directing.  This is why I have decided to make a series of prints, each based off of iconic episodes from the original Twilight Zone series.  They aren’t meant to be obvious, but instead meant to make you stop and think further into the message of each episode.  The goal is to make them appealing and thought provoking for fans and non-fans alike.
