Operation Clean Machine Video Tutorial

Project Summary: The goal of the media project was to raise awareness of the veterans desperately seeking clean wheelchairs. A training video was to be created to give a visual aid to the website. This is a in progress project. The goal of the non-profit organization Operation Clean Machine is to clean wheelchairs for FREE. Located in the VA Center in downtown Cleveland.

There are over 100,000 members throughout the United States and Puerto Rico of the national advocacy organization, Paralyzed Veterans of America. That number does not include the millions of Veterans in the United States that use mobility devices because of other disabilities.

Presently there are no current sources for cleaning mobility devices (wheelchairs or scooters) for our United States military veterans. We recognize most caregivers are overwhelmed by taking care of a person who is paralyzed. Cleaning a wheelchair or scooter that just becomes dirty again in a few days or weeks is often the last priority or simply does not get done. Mobility devices are very expensive so great care must be taken so as not to damage the sophisticated electronics. Having a clean mobility device is not only aesthetically appealing to the veteran, it also helps reduce harmful germs and pathogens as well.

We believe EVERY United States military veteran deserves a clean wheelchair or scooter. With your help we can make that happen. -Operation Clean Machine Website.
