For this assignment, we were required to showcase the last name of a famous American woman by experimenting with illustration and typography. I chose Amelia Earhart as she is a very iconic American woman, especially known for being the first female aviator. I chose to have her flying a plane with a banner of her last name. Going through the project, I found that having the banner moving in different directions gave the piece a sense of movement and atmosphere.
