While it is easy to apply a so called "vintage filter" to your ordinary shots - a true, more original approach is distinctly complex. What did people back in the 50s wear? How did they behave? And of course - are we able to appropriately imitate them? Those questions arise, when confronted with such undertaking.

Acting- and technical aspects, nevertheless, are just one side of the equation - the other - in case you are both the actor and photographer - is framing, scheduling of the shot itself. 

How close should I position the camera? Are we in need of any or rather much background? Is everyone in focus? Those are just some of all the aspects to keep in mind. 

If one is able to combine all the afore-mentioned aspects and is in possesment of all the skills to transfer them onto the SD-card - we can really congratulate him/her.

How much does the removal of the discussion partner affect your own appearance? 

The answer, quite surprisingly, is that it does affect it on a big scale. 

In addition we can also have a look on the social aspects of this session. A conversation, in contrast to ones first impression, also includes holes. Holes of mindful listening, of appreciation and consent. This insight made it obligatory to also capture the moments of (partial) tranquillity.

Having spent some time to analyze the overall matter, there can only be one realization - a good conversation is worth any expenditure.
