Extra Terrestrial
2014-2015
My first collection which I had painted it in my second academic year at university is “Extra- Terrestrial”  that includes three acrylic painting on canvas.
the professor asked us to juxtapose elements of modernity and tradition for the “jugement”. As I was sitting in the backyard of my university which is a historical building and i was looking for an idea to start with my initial sketches, I looked up and started to draw the building from the bottom up view. As I went further; I decided that I’ll include a spaceship as a symbol of modernity. Following that I took a picture from the same view and made a collage with the photos to figure out  appropriate perspective lines and then used it as a guide to start the painting

therefore I started the first painting of the collection with 100*150 cm measurements.Throughout the creation of this collection, I soon began to appreciate working on details.

In the process of completing the first painting, I was thinking about the upcoming works, with several sketches and paintings in smaller-sized, i came to the conclusion that remaking of the same subjects ( the city and the spaceship) would not be satisfying; so I decided to shift my focus from the remaking of subjects to working with different points of view of an incident. The incident here is,  “the transition of the modernism above the tradition without being noticed”.

The process of the third work is the same. This time the view is in the spaceship above the city, in another word the Omniscient Point of View (Objective). Although this collection is from 2015 but due to the large scale of the third work ,it's not finished yet.
