Couleur(s) – Woodcut + Film Photography

      Woodcut + Film Photography

Inspired by Paul Gauguin and Andreas Kramer, this series, entirely handmade in the darkroom by myself, is at the crossroads between woodcut and analog photography. Chaotic patterns of different colours are superimposed on photo paper. Depending of the wanted result, development is only done in specific places using an engraved wood plaque or screens.
The chaos is balanced by the geometric forms, where our mind and eyes can focus and rest. This technique is the result of hours of research and experimentation and has never been done before!
