As a landmark of Taiwanese Independent Rock Music, tEMPT inherits the originality of Independent Music, by connecting past with future, people with music, artists with audience, one with other, and the building itself with the environment, it embodied the core value that many Independent Music artists raised, advocated, and presented in their music, while providing exceptional experience to the visitors.
The design of the new exterior for tEMPT was inspired by different forms of music visualizations. Music visualizations transform music into something visible, usually generated with the music. tEMPT reverses this process, and entice the music in your mind when your are surround by the design.
The exterior shell features sloped roof for solar power harvesting and rain catchment, the underground water cistern which also works as a air cooling mass keeps the outdoor corridor nice and cool while providing extra shading for visitors and helps introduce east wind to the building opening, increasing indoor air circulation.
