Shorts Season - Tunnel Songs (Official Video - 2018)

The "Shorts Season" music video focuses on guitarist/vocalist, Dominic Martin, through various suburban environments as he performs the band's first officially released single "Shorts Season". The video is simple and to the point with the primary attraction being the multiple camera angles and changes of suburban scenery. I collaborated with Tunnel Songs personally to ensure a certain vision and quality was produced. There is no direct narrative in the video but the tragic heartbreak Tunnel Songs vocalizes in the song can be reflected in the choice of innocent yet decaying suburban environment the artist performs in front of.
The "Shorts Season" music video was edited on Sony Vegas Pro 15. This was my first and only project I've created with the program after switching over to Adobe Premiere Pro. The project took roughly 15 hours to edit as most of the time was spent learning a whole new program which was an interesting task to tackle and proved challenging at times. The entire video was shot with an iPhone 7 Plus. While not the most "professional" camera, the image quality in the final product is certainly admirable and comparable to modern HD standards.

The "Shorts Season" music video was a project I've always wanted to work on ever since Dominic Martin began releasing music through Tunnel Songs. While not my first take at video editing, directing or filming, I uphold this project as my first "professional" video project. (07/14/2018)
Update 07/20/2020: The video was later unlisted on YouTube due to lineup additions to Tunnel Songs and talk of revising the material in some way, but the video is still viewable through the link above.
